I am a photographer first and foremost because the camera gives me a voice through which to express my point of view visually, and to share the beauty I see in the world with others. I love creating photographs and documenting stories that bring joy to people’s lives.
My passion for photography spawned from my love of horses at a young age; horses were my first muse. I chose to study Fine Art and Art History at the University of Ottawa, graduating with a BFA, and later refining my digital photography skills by completing a photography diploma at Algonquin College. I gained experience in the wedding industry by second-shooting and working as a photographer for various wedding-photography companies.
I’m passionate about the environment and love learning about sustainable technology (a passive solar house is a goal). I’ve worked with Greenpeace in their photo department and world renowned photographer Edward Burtynsky (known for his large format works of industry).
If my style and philosophy jive with yours, I’d love to get a chance to know you better and talk about your vision for photographs. I offer no-pressure consultations by phone or in person.
